Transplants

S.P.A is working with the leading hospitals in Israel and abroad for medical treatment of all types.

Callers to our service-center will receive immediate treatment (appointments will be scheduled for the same day) and enjoy first priority. They will also enjoy immediate preference in respect to scheduling doctors’ appointments and will be accompanied by a personal attendant while arriving to the hospitals.

All our transplant programs are dedicated to providing the most comprehensive solution, the most technologically sophisticated and clinically effective, for adults and children for whom a transplant is the best option or the only one. We work with internationally renowned doctors.

Once enrolled to the donors list, patients undergo continuous monitoring throughout the entire waiting period. Immediately after surgery, patients are taken to one of the most advanced intensive care units in the world. Upon release, the transplant team continues to monitor the patient’s progress, including any signs of rejection or infection including all appropriate supervision treatments

S.P.A allows for a full range of services for transplant, from pre-transplant diagnostic and monitoring to surgery, management and follow-up at outpatient clinics - all coordinated with the referring doctor. Treatment is always carried out in consideration with the emotional needs of patient and his or her family, providing education and support in relation to any aspect of the patient’s illness, the treatment received and the recovery process.

Blood & Bone Marrow/Stem Cells Transplants

Today, one of the most aggressive medical procedures, that is used in the fight against cancer is blood and bone marrow transplants. The procedure aims to replace cancer cells with blood, bone marrow or healthy stem cells. This program of blood and bone marrow transplants at the medical centers gained considerable recognition among experts in the medical community due to the extensive efforts found in its leading researches and breakthrough clinical trials as well as in its commitment to excellence in patient care.

A comprehensive range of medical services is available through the "blood & bone marrow transplant program”, including diagnosis, screening, pre-transplant preparation and guidance, treatment after discharge from the hospital, healing and nutritional counseling. Our team of elite doctors and nurses who are specially trained, deal on a daily basis with the unsolved mysteries of blood-related cancers.

The transplanted cells are eventually able to generate all the cells circulating in the blood stream (red blood cells which carry oxygen, white blood cells which fight infections, platelets which help control bleeding), along with all the cells of the immune system. It is possible to take the stem cells from the patient himself or from someone else. We often retrieve stem cells from the bone marrow in which case the procedure is called bone marrow transplant. More often, we retrieve stem cells from the blood, in which case the procedure is known stem cell transplant.

Umbilical Cord Blood

Umbilical cord blood is blood drawn from the newborn's umbilical cord and placenta. This blood is a source of stem cells, which can be used to treat numerous diseases, previously treated with bone marrow from stem cells. Today these cells can be used for the treatment of hematological diseases such as Fanconi Anemia and Leukemia. Studies are performed on regeneration of cells and tissues of other types
